Our Mission

At Cannabis Theory’s, we strive to provide our patients with knowledge that enables them to understand medical cannabis and how it can benefit their health and overall well-being. At initial appointments, patients who have qualified will receive handouts and information so they can have a better understanding of medical cannabis, the endocannabinoid system, and the effects of cannabis. We also provide different dispensary material so they can become familiarized with the products that are currently available in the state.

New patients (Florida Resident) | $125 for 210 Days:

You must be a Florida resident with a qualifying condition to be enrolled in the program. Patients must have an active email address.

Once you have been pre-qualified by a Cannabis Theory’s employee, you will come in for a brief appointment with their qualifying physician. At this appointment you will receive your patient number and recommendation authorization.

A Cannabis Consultant will walk you through the application process to the state. Patients are provided with information for further personal research, and all questions will be fully addressed as well. We will also schedule your follow-up 210 day recertification appointment at this time.

Once you leave our office you must submit your application, and payment to the Florida Health Department to complete the process. This must be completed after your appointment with us.

Once the application has successfully been submitted, it takes 1-2 hours for patients to receive a temporary MMJ card via email from the state.

Once this has been issued, patients can visit the dispensary of their choosing within the state of Florida using their Florida Driver’s license/ID.

Permanent MMJ cards arrive in the mail within 10 days of completing your application with the state.

We are obligated by the state of Florida to see patients twice a year. If you do not come in for your pre-scheduled follow up appointment, your recommendation will not remain active.

Cannabis Theory’s Existing Patient Renewal: Existing patients can continue the recommendation renewal for $125 every 210 days.

One-on-one Consultations

With our 30+ years of cannabis knowledge and industry know-how from working in thriving cannabis states, we are dedicated to helping patients. Cannabis Theory’s also offers one-on-one home consults for patients who are enrolled in Florida’s medical marijuana program. With our Cannabis Consult program, we will provide you with a Cannabis protocol, that is tailored to you. Our goal is to get you started in the program with confidence, and guide you throughout the beginning phases to ensure you have a positive experience, and help you to feel comfortable exploring other delivery systems as the industry evolves.

One-on-one Cannabis Theory patients: $125 (pricing may vary upon location)

Prior to the in-home consult visit, patients will receive educational material and are urged to familiarize themselves with this material in order to have an optimal one-on-one experience during their in-home consult.

Includes: One patient in-home consultation by a Cannabis Theory’s Cannabis Consultant will travel to an MMJ card holder’s home. Patients will receive a follow-up phone call one week after their consultation.

New patients: Patients who already possess a medical marijuana card and desire a one-on-one consultation will be sent educational materials to review prior to their consult. If you are unable to review this material, you appointment will be rescheduled.

Changing MMJ Clinics

Patients who are already enrolled looking for a new recommendation:

If transferring from another recommendation clinic patients must first be deactivated from their current recommending physician. (See this video for a how-to).

Once successfully deactivated, patients must schedule an appointment with our qualifying physician. Patients will then be issued  a new recommendation, and order authorization. Recommendations will then be valid for 210 days. We will schedule the required 210 day follow-up recertification appointment at this time, and answer any questions.

There is no need to resubmit the application process and patients will leave our office with an active authorization that will enable them to visit a dispensary of their choice immediately.

We are still obligated by the state of Florida to see patients twice a year, if you do not come in for your pre-scheduled follow-up appointment, your recommendation will not remain active.

Reminder to all patients: You are responsible for logging into the mmuregistry on an annual basis to keep your card active. The state recommends logging in 30-45 days prior to the license expiration located on the card to pay their $75 fee to insure no lapse in your licensing.
